Shoot Knifing

I've noticed that a lot of people are doing this lately, but there is no rule against it. We have rules against camping, suciding, and this is another thing that is generaly looked down upon and yet its acceptable. It defeats the point of the game and ruins it for players. There should be a rule against it so noobs, AND regulars don't get the idea that its okay to win that way because there is nothing we can do about it, no rule to enforce against it. If people want it gone, we should do something about it.

Camping is apart of the game too, but the reason we don't allow it is because it takes away from the match being fun. Shoot knifing gives way to stat-whoring, which also ruins the game.

No rule on it blue.... its just part of the game.. it sux but no its not a rule. as for camping I think just about any server you go in will say something to you about it... I dont think they had camping in mind when they made the game, that just came from people that suck :P

I dont see that happening..... one I do it myself.... why? cause if I run out of ammo on someone I AM pulling out my knife and trying to knife them. its just part of the game... it pisses people off but you do what you gotta do... now as far as someone doing it on purpose it would be to hard to tell.

(last time i checked ya can't shoot or fire knifes at least not in counter strike)

p.s and yes just about every server has rules bout camping and it sucks but it's part of the game

and not ta lie i only do it when i'm vastly outnumbered or when smurf ender and jack'd are looking at my ass like it's a a nice juicey piece of pastry and they want take a bite outa my ass O.o ( i shake in my boots when i hear jack's p90 rapid firing )

in gg kami shoot knifing is when you shoot someone to 1 hit then knife them to steal a level easier.... most of the time its done after they get their gun kill then they will find a person trying to knife and shoot them down and then knife to gain a quick level.... for the most part I dont see it that often unless they are doing like I do and pull out thier knife when they run outta ammo... honestly this is not something that is a problem its part of the game and people are just going to have to deal with that.

I agree with smurf, you can't wrap a rule around this...

about 99% of the time that I run out of ammo from my first magazine, I'm not reloading, I am pulling out my knife.. I don't care if I was shooting at someone or not... if I'm out of ammo, I'm going to keep coming at you with my knife until you kill me

Also, given this variable plus many many other variables, you can't easily quantify what "shoot knifing" is. It will require way too much of the individual admins perception which leads to claims of admin abuse and so forth...

I think there is no solution for this... it's part of the game... it happens to everyone and everyone does it... the people that really complain are the people that can't do it... and thats why the god's gave us the crying sound...

I would have to agree w.smurf. I know it sucks but it is a kill or be killed game. i have ran out of ammo and pulled my knife and won the fight. and there are ALOT of times when people do that to me.
it pisses me off when some one will just shoot 2-3 rounds then pull the knife and take the level. but again hard to tell if it was malitious intent or not.
