Just part of the game. "Queensbury Rules" dont always apply, the object is to win and not always the honorable way. You can just play whatever way you deem to be the best way to represent your game, sometimes it has to be considered unsavory.
One problem I see these days is the constant complaining about camping. Sometimes when you hear someone coming, you wait and knife them or shoot them; then come the complaints of camping. Look hiding and making rounds last longer than they should is camping and should not be compared to "tactically waiting around a corner to knife someone". So tired of someone always whinning about camping.
As for shoot knifing, it sucks, but it is a part of the game and the game is good.
