Osama Candy on Sale in China

Kulfaballs Like me, you're probably sick of eating "baked scorpion on sticks" and "rat-shaped lollipops." Thank goodness, street vendors in Beijing have another tasty treat: "sugared Osama Bin Laden-shaped candies."
After 9/11, entrepreneurs from around the world started making Osama swag. Here in the U.S., it was Al Qaeda condoms and bin Laden toilet paper. In Afghanistan, it was "'Super Osama bin Laden Kulfa Balls' ??? coconut candy manufactured in Pakistan and packaged in pink-and-purple boxes covered with images of bin Laden surrounded by tanks, cruise missiles, and jet fighters."
Six and a half years after the attacks, the sweets are "still doing a roaring trade" in China. Which must be a testament to how delicious they are, right?
(Thanks for the snack: Yglesias)
