    Default DONT

    DONT UNINSTALL...

    EXIT STEAM COMPLETETLY

    Go to your STEAM FOLDER

    usually C:\program files\steam

    and DELETE the clientregistry.blob

RESTART STEAM and you should be fixed once it finishes the update.

I normally log out restart and log in it does it for you, or you could just delete files yourself.

Yea try logging out before anything else.

Go to file, change user and select log out.

I do this every time i get the steam ticket error or other wise and it works every time.

i would agree with penatrater on this one, Null is correct. unfortunately a lot of people are saying you shouldnt do this as it can mess up your steam in the long run, but i myself have done it at least once in the past, and no problems yet. i say go for it!
