Possible return of our ZM !?!

Hey guys... So there is a possible discussion of bringing our Zombie Mod back. Yes My Zombie Mod!!! For those of you who remember my Zm, it was a really fun, chill place to BS with friends and enjoy good maps. Well if i get the chance, I'm bringing all that back minus the drama!



But we would really like to know what you (the community) thinks of this....

Pls lets us know and tell us what u think honestly.

Well I was an admin on zm for about a year, I saw a lot of ups and downs of it. I'm glad it's coming back but how would we set it up? At the end of it's life when we set it to zombie reload, we couldn't get it populated. Will it be zombie reload or zombie mod? will it be steam or non-steam? I know it got it's most population when it was non-steam but that involved a shit ton of problems, I do think we could get it populated with it being steam we just need to do it right.

Yes sean ur right...But that was post Tara Zm... my zm never had any of those problems! No ego trips, no power trips, no abusive admin! None of that! I will be taking complete contorl again, and it will be run the exact same way I ran it before I left! There will be rules for the players and the admins...And i will be enforcing them!


I always ran that server with a velvet heart and an iron fist!!! I worked my ass off for 2 yrs on that server, and upon my return (after almost 3 years), I was devasted to hear about what was done to it. And by the ppl I so wrongly trusted to maintain it! I won't make that mistake again, i promise!!!


There will be no more player abuse! There will no more be admin abuse!

when tara was running ZM it was great. always full, always fun people. i even played it, if that gives anyone any idea of how much fun it was :P i'm totally for it, and i think tara could do a great job of it.
however, the abusive admins & other idiots in the server can't exist..that's why it failed while you were gone. you already outlined that that wouldn't happen, i just wanted to reinforce how important that is.

the zombie mod was being recreated by Cold, but after a few months and a few betas he went mia.... so all there is is zombie reloaded unless you wanted to try zombie roit.

Have not decided that yet...Still waiting to see what the community would want. This is something for them, and I just want to make a ZM everyone can enjoy!!!

Zombie Mod is fun as heck as long as you don't get all that random shit on it. Tara I think you running ZM would be awesome and that shit would be fun as heck. The ZM we had, just got a bit sloppy...

As far as i can tell, ZM isn't dead. There still seems to be some support/life on the forums, and there is a stable Linux release (as well as people saying they are running it with no problems). It's all here-say tho until i can get my hands on it and work with it.

I did switch the old server over to Zombie Reloaded, and tweaked it as best as i could, but several regs said that it just wasn't the same (barrel rolling being the most noticeable). I don't know what has been changed/fixed since i worked with it months ago, but if we do go the ZR route, there may be some things that are out of my control. I've never done Zombie Riot, so i have no say in that.
