N/U will be downsizing its server list by a few servers and all servers will have new IP's.

the servers that will be going offline are going to be:

zombiemod
deathmatch
tf2
all cod4 servers
teamspeak

CAL teams will now have to pay for thier own servers and vent. Hlstats may not be used on the new setup due to money issues and we will have to use either the free version or find another ranking system for the servers. any extra's we do for advertising that costed N/U money will no longer be paid and closed out.

let me hear your thoughts on this as this is not the route we wanted to take, but have to.... unless someone has some ideas to be explored before the 25th of this month.

if this is what we have to do to even think about keeping the community alive then this is what we should do. not exactly my favorite idea as i'm sure others would agree, but it is probably the best decision.



oh and as for the cal teams, i have already talked to some of the other guys about it sio, so no worries.

We will keep the base of our community with these fewer servers. This is just a hitch in the road. the economy isn't doing well, some of our admins are in transition in their lives, and we're in the middle of needing more admins at the moment. The community will rise again. We have loyal regs, and we have a great group of admins and we need to expand the admin base to get more donations.

N/U will survive!

next saturday you will notice servers going offline for an hour each. that is so i can backup each server completely as it sits right now.

Nat make no more chages to any of the servers unless told other wise

Dam son I guess my 1 dollar donation didn't go that far. Do you really have to change the office IP? I remember when you changed the dust 2 IP a while ago, that shit still doesn't seem to have the same amount of people it used to have before the change. Also I don't play there that much though so everyone probably left cause they missed me kekekeke.

well im not exactly sure of what to say right at the moment. i do understand down sizing may be the best thing at the moment. but im not sure if i speck for just me or for alot of others as well, but i kindda would like to know the issues thats at hand other then money shortage.

no the lag is being caused by someone using a non blocked sv cmd in an alias, once again the incompetance of valve strikes again.

If Zombie goes then I don't have much left here... N/U doesn't have any other servers with custom maps except GG and DM, but DM will be gone too, and I'm not a huge fan of GG.

Why get rid of DM and ZM and not Office Unlimited and Dust2 Unlimited??

I never see anyone ever in Dust2 Unlimited and I know Office Unlimtied was once very popular but not these days.

IMO, ditching Office Unlimited is out of the question. N/U started there. If it weren't for that server there wouldn't be a N/U!!

But no if Sios has to kill ZM, then he has to kill ZM. It's not as popular as GG or the other servers, and so it shouldn't live.
