    Voteban poll for Gungame

    Well let's do an official vote!

    I think if it is driving away people then it should absolutely come off. If their isn't an admin on, most of the regs have admins on their list to get on. If their is no admin on anyone can submit a person for a ban through our source bans website ---> http://www.n00bunlimited.net/sm You just have to type status in console and get their steam ID and player name. Then go to the site and click the submit a ban tab. Once that gets submitted an email is set to every Admin, Jr Owner, an Owner. Someone will look at it, I promise!

    If an admin is on but doesn't have admin in gungame they can find an admin who does or they can manually ban that player with their steam id on the website.

      maybe we can figure something out for it like say... if the voteban they have to give a reason also and have the a list to choose from and add a line in there that says votebanning because blah blah blah Im a dick" but when they choose that option it bans them instead :P lol

              but if ya get rid of that then you would have to take out votekick also.... O_o
              I think once they realized voteban was gone they would just start votekicking...

                  voteban should be removed. i agree on that.
                  and im not sure if theyd start votekicking because the person can just come back and it takes a while to votekick someone so it might be too annoying for them to do that. but id be fine if votekick will be removed as well.

                      I heard the regs use votekick as a way to kick AFK's when they need to get their votemaps done.

                      I don't really see it as a problem as long as they use it for AFK's only and not just on someone who is not votemapping.

                          i agree with dot. i don't think that votekick would be an issue. i'd say leave it up there so that they CAN kick afk's. otherwise, they'll be complaining about that and we're going to end up putting it back up anyway.

                              i say voteban should be taken out as some people can abuse it too much.
                              But i agree with vince & dot about the votekick should stay as they can kick afk or trouble some people.

                                  personally, I dont think it should go.... I think people should just not abuse it, and if you see someone abusing it tell them not to... I think in the long run removing it will be a mistake...

                                          unfortunately, i have to side with sajora. i'd like to think that ppl would be mature enough to not abuse it, but they have already proven they aren't. we shouldn't have to tell them not to abuse it. bc we do, that tells me that they would go right back to abusing it (if not more so) once an admin leaves. i do see where smurf is coming from. hopefully, we'll be able to re-add it in the future if they get why we took it away.

                                                  yes it should be taken off because of people who are abusing itt.
                                                  votekick should stay for the whole AFK reason :]

                                                      We started a rule at NS, and iNF. abusing the voteban command may result in the removla of that player from the server.
                                                      After the first 5 bans for voteban abuse, they stopped abusing it.
                                                      Same went with votekick.
