it could be a couple of things try to reset the motherboard if that doesn't work than
check your power supply .if your power supply is not bad than your ram might be bad
but if they are all good than i would say that your mb is shot.

ok ya ready to try to fix this thing?? couple of things first...when you hit the power does it start and then shut right back off?? if so you got power..so i would firstly swap your memory sticks around into different slots...then reset the Cmos...unplug the main power cord from back of the pc most newer boards have a reset button on the board itself if not just take out the battery for a few seconds the put it back in { battery looks like a big watch battery}...plug it back in and see if that helps, if not your PC maybe instantly overheating which i would try new thermal compound on my cpu before i went and bought a bunch of new shit..then if that doesnt work...try removing the video card and connecting to the onboard video if the MOBO has on board video and even if it doesnt try taking the vid card out and starting the machine and see if it stays running or not...just a few tips to try before ya go and spend a bunch of money. hope this helps out some. LaterZ

you may want to try to add your memory back 1 stick at a time ,and make sure if you do that you put them in in the way the mobo manual suggests.

ship it to me, I will fix it for free. I just love working on computers. But if you decide to send some screen shots first. I want to know what I am dealing with before I get it.

A computer is NEVER fucked unless it was lit on fire or soemthing. there's always SOMETHING that needs to be fixed or replaced and it will be just as good as new again, like i said, take it to a local repair shit, most are free to look at the pc, see what u need and how much it will cost, then check how much a new computer will what u want will cost and see what u wanna do.

                      Exactly.
No computer is ever FUBAR until its physically damaged.
BIOS, HD errors, as long as its non physical, computers can be repaired.

ON a side note.. you said, your turn it on, and it turns right back off.
                      thats a powersupplyisue right there.
the PSU could be shot, or the internal breakerswitch needs to be rocked back and forth to reset it.

.....or perhapos the bios became corrupted... THAT you CANNOT fix by anymeans unless you have a redundant bios chip wihin the computer..... if you cannot get past the post on boot you cannot fix ANYThing... thats the only time a computer is fubar without physical damage... ifg anyone disagrees i challenge them to fix my corrupt bios board, if you cant you owe me $100 bucks.

Thats when you get another computer with the BIOS on it, plug it into the Board, and forceflash it.
Not "flash" as in update, but reprogram it, with the BIOS.
As long as the chips get power, you can force flash them.
