yeah, i've been doing the same thing jackd. i do have one major problem though nat. every time i join the server, i don't have any of my items. this has happened at least 3 times to me now. i've lost around 10 each of awps, aks, m4s and lockpicks. i still have all my money and my new mustang(oh yeah!) thank god, but it's kinda lame when i rejoin with nothing. oh i had a tmp and an mp5 too. i have it all holstered and whatnot, but it's never there. is it supposed to this? i mean, guns are pretty expensive and i've only got like $6000 right now. just wondering. thx.

Well I was in the server with Jackd and we was talking about a few ideas. Well the map is very good and such and if you could, you could put in a night and day system and also when you kill somone not so much as you get money and so forth. See some rp servers on gmod or such they will tell you go back to CSS or Hl2 Deathmatch because you love killing i say no lets make CSS not the game known as "the ultimate deathmatch game" lets make it as another category. See RP means Roleplay basicaly converting/breaking down to act as in real life. So you might want to consider the killing people to get money and instead add more jobs and also add npc which you can go to them and press e and apply for a job. Also when the map is 100% done please dont be a lazy bum and dont add in cubemaps.Also add some more cars and dont make everything apartments make like suburban houses and such.(I know its not 100% done just some good hints and such) If you always want more hints ask me ingame or contact me on steam/ xfire. I would also like to help map/model i am very good at them and i also know c++ and a little tiny bit of scripting. Well just putting out some of my ideas that Jackd said was good. btw some inspiration is these two maps :

as for the jobs and what else I think so should be added:
1) I Think we should have a shooting range, think it would be fun and give us SOMETHING to shoot at.
2)in the Night club, I think we should have a spot for a DJ, so if somebody goes up there, they can pick and choose what we listen to in the club.
3)A driving course, or a driving school would also be cool to see as well.
4)Active duty security guards would also be cool.

Okay umm, I did some stuff...

Yesterday Cancer showed me that you could use negative numbers when giving money to people or messing with your own bank account to produce some fucked up results and get arbitrarily rich. I stopped that from happening. However, that's not before almost everyone abused the system. So, today I set everyone's bank accounts to $10000. If you had less than 10K I didn't change anything, but everyone who had more got knocked down to 10K. Also, tons of people made money from the game giving it to them. Not anymore. Server gives no start money anymore. This leaves the plugins to handle that. As for the items; I set them up just now so that from now their data will be saved to the server every 5 minutes just like the cars and the money stuff. Please report bugs to me more often; don't just try to exploit shit. I'm going to reset absolutely everything once the plugins are ready for release to the CS:S community and our server officially goes up as the N/U RP server as opposed to a RP Test Server, so there's no point in cheating. Au contraire, if you help point out problems to me then we will get to a public release faster. I even put Cancer's name in the class menu plugin because he pointed out the money problem (class menu handles money, doors, and classes) so like for real. Please help me out guys. >_>

Nat, for the models not downloading have you tried adding them to the downloadlist for the player models? I added all the RP Models (Player models, Cars, Armour, Health, Lockpickz) to the download section of the forums. So you can redirect anyone who needs them there. A lot of people were complaining about the models not downloading so i thought that would be the quickest and easiest way to get that bandaged for now.

see, this explains how everyone could keep buying guns and cars and bet 30k on races, while i'm trying desperately to save enough money to buy a car. bah at me not being able to get ungodly rich too. i think it was just me that kept losing their shit nat; no one else that i know of was complaining about this problem.

like scorch said about jobs, ppl keep killing each other bc it gives them something to do. to have ppl not WANT to kill each other, they need some sort of interactivity with the server to give them something to do. so, like other jobs where you actually need to do shit. or some sort of activities like maybe a racetrack where you can bet on ppl or get money for winning races? stuff like this will make it a real roleplaying server. i'd personally try and focus on that for a bit before adding more buildings and what-have-you. oh, like onehit said about the shooting range: maybe incorporate prizes into that too? activities that give money (even small amounts) would be a big hit i think. it gives ppl something to do, gives them money to buy more items and cars, and gives them a sense of competition and interactivity with the server and each other. just my thoughts.

Its GREAT you fixed these problems, as for my money, I really DID make like 300k on my own from playing alot and then cancer ALSO game me 1Mill of what he got from doing "What he did" . Did you fix the problem with the gun slots fucking up? Because if you get your inventory full, it wont let u access the inventory, then says u have 0 slots open, if u wait a while and come back, it then says u have 40 slots open, but whatever u HAD bought is now gone.

I was planning on adding a shooting range to the basement of city hall. And I was planning on an off-roading track. Looks like we think alike.

Also, Money Printers are finally under way. They will be in the new special menu. ( sm_special or /special )

ah contrare <----(how the hell do you spell that word?) i was there, but was a poor soul who was saving up for his first car (mustang) and therefore unable to partake in the fun. that's actually where i got the idea from dot: thought we could take that and actually turn it into something that is part of the server.

bah. just attach a second keyboard. but seriously, i have to start keeping track of what the hell does what. i only know like half of my binds. :/
