Considerable New Rules

Well lately I have noticed some players (who's names will remain anonymous) as well as an admin (who's name will also remain anonymous) have come across a way to make the gameplay of the other players "unenjoyable" or "annoying" or other words of the such through the spectate in console command in combination with the !zspawn command.

1. Players are binding a key to spectate in console and using what I've heard called the "OH SHIT" button and switching to spec before they are killed. This gets very annoying to players who fight their way into a spot as a zombie only to find that the player in the spot has ran away to spectate. A rule against the "OH SHIT" button should be created.

2. Players are switching to spectate and using the !zspawn command to gain credits for barrel rolls, cades, and another annoying tactic that I will address. There should be a rule against the spectate to !zspawn command spam.

3. Players are using tactic #2 to gain credits and then before switching to spectate opening up propmenu and placing props somewhere on the map. I have seen props placed to assist players in the game, to block players in the game, as well as help with barrel rolls. A rule against the spawning of props from spectate should be created.

These are 3 things that I saw and pretty much stuck out to me because it actually effected me in game before. Random, Sajora, Vit, Nat, or whoever please take a look and tell me what you think/ consider this please.

Also, In gungame I many people commit suicide when I come at them on knife level, and not legitimately. They have the "kill" command binded to a key, it really does get annoying. Sometimes they use it during a knife battle if they miss, too.

I see nothing wrong if people suicide in ZM. Nor do I have problems with them using !zspawn to get credits. What I do have issue with is if zombies use the glitch to respawn as a human, unless it's an admin doing it for some reason. (I have to do this a lot... People will be like "OMG CADE BREAKER" or whatever and I have to go see to mete out punishment, but I usually get killed in the process since I left whatever spot I was in.)

But nat the thing is the other players are getting pissed about it too.
But its cool, i will continue to monitor this and see how players react though.

yeah I know what dot. is saying.. there are a few in gg that do the same thing.. if someone is about to knife them they have a key bound to kill themself... and on a rare occasion I have seen a couple of people do it to avoid getting killed by a nade. I know its funny sometimes but at the same time the person on the other end is working to get that kill and it does get very annoying.

ill go ahead and create a script to kick/or ban for the kill cmd in console if i need too.

that sounds like a really good ideal about the kick script but i would not set it up to do a ban tell they do it more then three or four times

this would work for gg, but the switch to spectate in console wouldnt work.
until this rule is approved or dissaproved i will be kicking players for switching to spec and doing all of these.
it is unfair to the players and i dont like seeing new players leave the server because of these things

I wouldn't go so far as to ban them, but an automatic kick would be great. Or, at at the most, a 30 minute ban.

As for the gg thing. i know that the one attacking is getting pissed, but the one suisiding is losing points and levels. they can be assholes all they want. because when im in game people are scared to do that shit. hehe. i love being evil.

I agree with you DoT. People switching to spec to avoid being killed negatively impacts the server as well as the gameplay of the people playing in it. I amend kicking people who do this, including those who are caught using the zspawn exploit to attain credits. Any other admins wish to weigh in on this?

@siosios: the kill command is disabled by default in the zombiemod plugin.

i agree with u guys. it kills the game when ppl do that. the zombies waste a lot of health and time to get ppl with good cades and if the guys go to spec when the zombies made it through the cade thats not ok.
