What do you want to see in ZM?

Title explains it. I would like to gather up our ideas of what we want to see with the ZM Server. I for one am a big fan of:

1. Change the maplist. This includes adding and removing maps from the list and getting the best maps to our players.

2. MOTD. This was talked about a while back, but what does it really take to make our MOTD more user friendly and list the rules more accurately and if possible in other languages, at least telling foreigners to only type and not talk on mic.

3. Shout out to who is still around and a clear chain of leadership and current adminlist.


Any other suggestions?

i agree with the change of the map rotation with new maps and the MOTD should be up dated!

An automatic votemap list with random maps in the last round would be awesome. the monotony of the rotation kills the server, and every time the server crashes ppl just dont rejoin because they know what maps are ahead.

btw this is like the 10th thread about this subject and the server is pretty much the same, no pressure just sayin <---- gets flamed ahead

I can definitely research maps for ZM, i used to do it when i ran ZM shortly after tara took a leave...

I think i might be Interim Jr Owner of the ZM server until Dot is back fully i'm not sure it was just offered by Jackd and nothing was finalized

I know alot of the players like escape maps we could get a few more of these (not necesarily on RTV but maybe for an admin to switch to because we don't want to play nonstop escape maps)

But i can start doing that looking for decent ZM maps for other people to try out...

Sac your definitely right lets get Dot in here to voice his opinion, but i think we definitely should vote on maps at the end of round

if we don't here from anyone i can always yell at Ender or Jack,they're fun to yell at to get to work mwuahaha <3

OK I created a new MOTD, see if you like it:
I eliminated some of the more self explanatory rules, we have admins for a reason
Each rule has a spanish translation since that seems to be the 2nd most popular, sorry im not gonna translate 10 other languages as well, some people are just going to have to deal...
then i added the admin list with appropriate titles

I included your new copy of the motd so the lazy ones dont have to DL it. I know that Sacabu and Johnny had a more indepthly translated copy and if we could narrow that down and include spanish here is the link here. I would like to add a few things:

1. Add 3 to the prop limit for stacking.
2. Clarify mic spam, include music and sounds.

I've tried uploading shit to the server before but my laptop always crashes for some reason, or my internet cuts out in the middle of the transfer then only part of the file uploads...
Plus I would need Ender, Nat or Sio to upload the shit to the webserver since i dont have access to that.

Also, I can't way in on most things because I can't get in game...so i end up having to leave it all on you guys...that's not doin my jr owner duties...

I appreciate hells taking over, but i dont think it should interim, i don't see myself being able to donate and continue as an admin for a long time coming. If ya'll don't mind, hells should be the full jr owner of zm. I have no problem with stepping back in the shadows and lettin him run shit, i have full confidence in him.
