Can't enter game... "pure server"

    Can't enter game... "pure server"

    Hi all,

    A few days ago I was able to enter game normally.

    I can get as far as sending client info, game opens and then...

    "Disconnect: Pure server: file [game]\scripts/hudlayout.res does not match the servers file.

    I removed my other steam games, and restarted steam, css, and pc muliple times. any ideas?

      I believe it has something to do with any custom skins or sounds that you may have loaded in your config.

          but i gotta say it
          WHERE THE HELL YA BEEN HIDING RONIN ?? cause i an't see ya in ages

          and as far as the error jack is right the servers are set up sv_ pure 0 now ( off )

          meaning that at least some of your models wouldn't work

          try removing all off them and see if it works

                  sv_pure 1 is in effect on both dust2 and reg office to eliminate hack skins as those are now the target of most people trying to hack, KAC took out the rest. ive tried to allow as much as i could while still keeping the servers secure from hacks.

                      Ok, so I erased my HUD file and now all seems well. Thanks guys.
